Today, the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters, representing the interests of over 30,000 hard-working men and women, endorsed Ulster County Executive Mike Hein for re-election.
Bill Banfield, Regional Manager for the Council, emphasized the strong working relationship the union has with Hein, and how instrumental he has been in promoting fair labor laws, strong collective bargaining opportunities and sustainable capital construction programs.
“Mike Hein has always been a friend of our local construction trades and of working men and women across Ulster County,” said Banfield. “Mike’s commitment to improving the infrastructure of this community and to creating good paying jobs only demonstrates his leadership and his vision to move Ulster County forward. He has the Carpenters’ endorsement.”
“I am grateful for the endorsement of the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters,” said County Executive Hein. “We need to emphasize the importance of skilled labor in creating even more good-paying, quality jobs for the great people of Ulster County. I am proud of the work we’ve done with the Carpenters to not only create jobs, but to improve our infrastructure and local economy as well.”
The Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters join the Hudson Valley Building and Construction Trades Council, representing 28 locals and more than 10,000 hard working men and women, in supporting Mike Hein for reelection.
The general election this year takes place on Tuesday, November 3rd.
